Living in the age of "Anything goes"

In this day and age, anything goes. Men can identify as women and visa versa. People of the same sex can marry one another which is leading to people marrying animals or objects. Crooked politicians can hold office or run for office even after being accused of crimes. I can go on but just trying to think of the evil in this world makes me tired. The things that use to be bad are now good and the things that use to be good are now considered bad. Wait, doesn't the Bible say something about that? The Lord warns in Isaiah 5:20 "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" This world is becoming increasingly wicked and evil with each passing day. But take heart my brothers and sisters in Christ, as the days get darker like night, we all know that the night will end at the dawn of the morning. When the Light will return. Jesus is going to come back and will make things right. He is the one who will ride on the white horse who is called Faithful and True! Even so come, come Lord Jesus!

Tom Loud said once on Facebook, "Barking is not what makes a dog a dog. Swimming is not what makes a fish a fish. What a person does or cannot do is not what makes them a person. A dog barks, a fish swims, a person acts a certain way...why?  Because their identity determines their behavior. Sons of God do the things that Jesus did simply because of their identity as a son of God. The action or behavior doesn't determine their identity ; their true identity will determine their behavior." There are some people nowadays believe that if they dress a certain way, act a certain way or change certain aspects of their physical body all of a sudden they are who they want to be. They are even getting the kids on this. Keep a very close eye on what your kids do, what they watch and who they are friends with. God made us who we are and that is what we will be. There is a slogan that has been made popular that says "I was born this way!". Yes, I agree. You were born into sin and you were born a child of the devil. 1 John 3:10 says "...and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." But that is where Jesus comes in. In John Chapter 3, Jesus says 3 times that you must be born again so that you may enter into heaven. No, that doesn't mean to go through the birth canal of your mother again. But be born again in the spirit so that you are taken out of the blood line of Adam, but into the blood line of Jesus. So that you don't sin no longer. People are willing to accept that they cant change their sinful nature but want to change their sex, and their looks and sin all they want without anyone saying anything. We must repent (change our minds and ways for the ways of God) and have faith in Jesus. Come as you are, a broken, addicted, fouled up person so that Jesus can clean you up from the inside, out. Don't stay the same, and don't go back to your sinful ways. That is all possible and I have seen people from all walks of life be changed completely by the blood of Jesus.

In Tom Loud's quote it mentions that "Sons of God do the things that Jesus did simply because of their identity as a son of God. The action or behavior doesn't determine their identity ; their true identity will determine their behavior." So this explains why followers of Christ go around telling people about Jesus or abstain from sin. Thier actions are not their identity. Their identity in Christ is what determines their actions. So what is our identity in Christ? We are called: the elect, a royal priesthood, the righteousness of God, saints, and sons/daughters of God. Just to name of few. We are called to be holy because God is holy. What does that mean? To be separate, to be devoted to the service of God, to be sacred, sanctified, God-fearing, morally and spiritually excellent. We claim to be those things and we act that way because God is that way and we have been commanded to be holy. Jesus didn't call us to be perfect right now and some people tend to think we need to be flawless now out  of our own will and power. Totally disregarding the work of the cross. We are being perfected and the process is called sanctification. If the word "holification" existed and it to be made holy. But that is what the word sanctification means. We were justified when we were born again, we are being sanctified throughout our entire life and when Jesus comes back, we will be glorified. THEN we will be perfect. But nowadays followers of Christ are called evil, judgemental and unloving because we warn others about their sins. We call out sin because we know what the price of sin is. It is death! Not just physical death, but also spiritual death. Sin is what separates us from God. Jesus takes away the sin and now we can be joined with HIm and have the relationship we had with God before the fall of man.
I know that there are some church folk who go at it the wrong way by being too judgemental and misrepresenting Jesus. Not all Christians are like that.

In this time, living in the age of "anything goes", the only thing that don't seem to go is pleasing God. I kid you not, anything that God has said in the Bible that is sin, is now okay and permissible. We can not call sin, sin nor can we say certain names to people because its hurtful and disgraceful. Yet, every day God's name is taken in vain and blasphemed around the clock and that's okay. As a follower of Jesus, I am suppose to shut my mouth according to the status quo. I am ashamed to say, church, its mostly our fault. We have allowed for all this evil and debauchery to occur. We have stopped going out an preaching the Gospel. Not all people and churches are at fault. But we are all in one body and that is the body of Christ. When judgement comes to a nation, judgement first comes to the church.  I live in the United States and we are and have been judged by God. We have had wicked leaders, catastrophes, natural disasters and the lowering of moral standards. Haven't we learned from history what happens to a civilization when these things happen? They are wiped out. Many believe that the USA will not exist very much longer. Either by war or joining the government of the Anti-Christ, or both. I don't know what needs to happen to change things, but I pray to God that something does change. Pray to God that He would raise up more men and women of valor who are children of God to go out and boldly proclaim the Gospel and work miracles like Jesus said would happen in the end times. Resist the devil and he shall flee from you. Resist the temptation to also live with a "anything goes" state of mind.
